Pro Tips & Delicious Variations
- Use any vegetables that you normally serve with hummus - feel free to experiment!
- Briefly grill the zucchini slices to switch up the texture.
- If your rolls are unrolling, stick a toothpick through. It is finger food!
- Vary the rolls, just be sure the vegetables are cut into matchsticks:
- Garlic Hummus, Roasted Red Peppers, Grilled Eggplant, Radish, Sprouts, then dust the finished rolls with Paprika
- Hummus, Ginger, Bok Choy, Carrot, a bit of Rice Vinegar and a drop of Sesame Oil, then sprinkle the finished rolls with Sesame Seeds.
- Hummus, Lettuce, Tomato, Avocado, Cilantro, then top the finished rolls with a squeeze of lime juice.
- Make your own hummus out of different legumes and blend in a matching herb to add color. Yellow Lentils, Ginger, Cayenne and Cilantro make a great Indian-themed hummus.
- This recipe is great for kids to jump in and help with.
